No point in calling this the La Canada fire when it’s over Altadena. Here are some more pix from today. I’ve got still more to post, but tomorrow. I’m beat. Fun, crazy, scary day.

From Carolyn Seitz

Here’s an update on food requests.

Fire Station 11 tells me that they have plenty of food.  A local chef showed up at the Station and filled the kitchen with foods for them.  The same may be true for Fire Station 12.

Fire Station 11 also tells me that there is no way to know when or if any of the firefighters will be relieved from the fire lines or where they’ll be sent for rest.  He doubted it would be to the park.

Bob Klomburg suggested that it might be better to take any food we have that would have gone to the now canceled block party to the Altadena Sheriff’s Station.

Generally at a major event, Incident Command has food and drinks set up for the firefighters and that is an area we can’t access.

They plan for that and prepare for it as soon as the emergency occurs.

If you’d like to donate food or meals, or drinks (water, juices and soft drinks), you can drop them off at the Altadena Sheriff’s Station.

Thanks very much to any who can help and very best wishes to all of the rest who are doing the best they can to take care of themselves.

IF YOU HAVE FOOD TO DONATE, TAKE IT TO THE ALTADENA SHERIFF’S STATION.
